In the last weeks we amplified the TEDDYBÄR TOTAL website with useful content for exhibitors as visitors. You′ll find information about international air connections to Munster. If you miss some departures – just give us an advice and we′ll add it. Furthermore you′ll find on the website lots of information regarding the highlights for tourists in Munster as well as the opportunity of booking a hotel room.

Service for visitor from Japan

Among to the German and the English, there is a Japanese version of the website for the first time ever. Therewith we bear down the language barrier for our Asian friends. There′s also the opportunity to book the whole trip with all transfers at our partner, together with the announcement.

Promotion has begun

On our online presences we keep interested people in the loop since last TEDDYBÄR TOTAL. Meanwhile the first promotions are publicized, for example at the remarkably auction at the Steiff-Sommer. Full-Page advertisements were publicized in the Czech magazine Panenka as well as in the American journal Teddybear and Friends. More will follow – for granted. Advertising in U.K. and Russia starts in september.

Promotion Postcard

Earlier than advised, but right on time for the important events in fall, all exhibitors will receive promotion postcards. Thereon visitors will find all important information and highlights regarding the TEDDYBÄR TOTAL 2012. The shipping of the german cards will be in the last week of august. Englisch, netherlands and russian cards follow in september.

George-Team on Tour

Extended setting-up period on Friday

To make setting up easier for those travelling to the venue from afar, we will open the exhibition hall from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday (13 April 2012). During this time, exhibits for the GOLDEN GEORGE competition can also be submitted. (By the way: Anna Koetse and Ian Pout will once again be on-site, both as a judge and an exhibitor.) From approximately 2:00 p.m., we will offer you snacks and drinks as part of a welcome buffet at our stands to help you re-energise.

Scenic teddy flights for visiting teddy bears

TEDDYBÄR TOTAL visitors will be able to enjoy a very special treat. They can book a scenic flight over Münster for their teddy bear. At the end they will receive a certificate and a souvenir photo with their teddy in the cockpit high above Münster.

Preliminary auction viewing

On 21 April 2012, the auction house TeddyDorado will auction off high-quality exhibits. Our visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to inspect these items beforehand, as the preliminary auction viewing takes place in Münster only. A particularly useful fact for our exhibitors: some 4,000 customers of the auction house will be personally invited to TEDDYBÄR TOTAL for this purpose. So we are targeting interested collectors directly.

Rarities on display

Visitors coming to Münster can look forward to an interesting exhibition of historic Steiff animals from a period of more than 100 years. A special highlight is the oldest datable Steiff bear, the “Stehauf-Bär (tumbler bear) from 1894, which we will display publicly for the first time.

Larger table selection

For the first time, all exhibitors can choose a table format that best suits their presentation.  The available measurements are:

		200 x 100 centimetres
		200 x 70 centimetres
		160 x 70 centimetres

We offer all sizes at the same price, as all exhibitors will have the same amount of table space available to them (2 m wide x 3 m deep, with about 1 m between the different sections). So those who choose a 160 cm table will have another 40 cm for a shelf or other decorative elements.

The most popular format so far has been the 2×1 m table. Only 30 of these tables are still available. If you want to make sure that one of them is reserved for you, don’t wait much longer with your registration.

Free bus and train travel

TEDDYBÄR TOTAL exhibitors and visitors will have free access to public transport in Münster for the duration of the event weekend (starting on Friday). Exhibitors will receive their public transport ticket together with their documents prior to the event. For visitors, it is included on the back of their entry tickets. From January, advance ticket sales will also commence online for the first time.

The motto 2012 is: Moviestar. Celebreties, crime scene, movie history or whatever. There’s no limit for imagination. So please let your imagination run wild. We’re looking forward.

The nominees will be chosen by photo. Then the nominated works will be peered by all jurors in person at Münster. They vote for the winners of the GOLDEN GEORGE 2012. At George Dinner on the same evening the winners get their trophy.

The biggest question was about the tables. The exhibition hall in Münster has 1.60 Meters long tables. They were used in the past. But the tables in Rheda-Wiedenbrück are 2.20 Meters. And so a lot of exhibitors wanted to have bigger ones. And here we go. After long negotiations we are able to offer three sizes:

200 x 100 cm (bigger than in Rheda)
200 x 70 cm and
160 x 70 cm

All sizes are offered for the same price. Because every exhibitor gets the same area for the table (2 x 3 Meters, 1 Meter between). So if you have a 1.60-table you hace 40 centimeters for decoration, a rack or whatever. The new application form has theese three options. There are 150 pieces of every table-size. And you know – first come, first served.

There’s a new item in the menu – Downloads. Here you find different sizes of ad-banners an the logo of TEDDYBÄR TOTAL for your website. Please feel free to use it. And here you find all important forms (fair and Golden George)

For the list of exhibitors we are going a different way. Instead of publishing it a few weeks before the show we set online every confirmed artist and company. Of course there’s a link to the website. We think that’s a good service. So if you come back soon there will be more names. And if you order your table now – your name will be on the list tomorrow.

64 of them have already submitted their binding registration for 2012 – among them large companies as well as renowned artists and major retailers. We were and still are positively surprised, as we were certainly not expecting such a large number of registrations on day one. We could not have wished for a better start. May it continue!

The exhibitors’ directory will be published online shortly. Contrary to our initial considerations, we will display and maintain the list online at this stage. As soon as further registrants sign up, they will be listed in the directory.

Will we keep the trade fair in Rheda-Wiedenbrück or will we look for a new venue? What would be a suitable date? What is our concept for the future?

Those two months were exciting yet labour-intensive and have already produced many good answers. But never without one particular challenge: we certainly did not want to steal the limelight of this year’s show. So our motto was: keep quiet and keep planning.

But it is only another 27 hours until the gala dinner of TEDDYBÄR TOTAL 2011 starts. We will use this solemn event tomorrow to announce the future of the event to the exhibitors. All the important information will then also be made available here.
